Dr. Johannes Bonatti
Dr. Bonatti is the chairman of the department of cardiothoracic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Bonatti performed the world’s first robotic endoscopic triple and quadruple vessel bypass in the arrested heart valve. In addition to his contributions to advancing robotic surgery, Dr. Bonatti was awarded Intuitive Surgical’s “Distinguished Robotic Surgeon and Pioneer in da Vinci Cardiac Surgery.”


Dr. Vipul Patel
Dr. Patel is the medical director of the Global Robotics Institute at Celebration Health in Orlando, Florida. He is a leader in the field of robotic surgery, having trained hundreds of surgeons on how to safely adopt robotic technology into their practice. Dr. Patel has personally performed the most robotic surgeries in the world and has currently performed nearly 7,000 robotic prostatectomies. In addition to his many accomplishments in the field of robotic surgery, he is the founding member of the Society of Robotic Surgery.

Room Rate
The Society of Robotic Surgery has negotiated a discounted rate of $189.00 plus tax (currently 12.5%) at the Disney Yacht & Beach Club.

Hotel Deadline
The deadline to receive the Society of Robotic Surgery group rate is October 23, 2013. SRS encourages you to make your reservation early, as the hotel and discount block may sellout before this date. After this date, reservations will be accepted based on availability and higher rates may apply.

If an attendee would like to book pre- or post-meeting nights, please contact the Disney Yacht & Beach Club at (407) 939-4686 to inquire about availability. An attendee needing to make changes or requests to their room reservation will need to wait until receiving a Resort Confirmation. Any changes or requests must be made by calling (407) 939-4686.

Hotel Deposit & Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold a reservation. These deposits are fully refundable if the hotel is notified of cancellation five days prior to arrival. Please call (407) 939-4686 to alter or cancel reservations.

Arts & Culture
Orlando is more than just theme parks. It is also home to many arts and cultural attractions and activities. Orlando offers museums, the performing arts, gardens/arboretums and much more. Orlando has a number of superb Floridian museums, the best of which include the Mennello Museum – dedicated to the art collection of the late Earl Cunningham; Wells' Built Museum of African American History; the Orlando Museum of Art – featuring a range of displays of American art from the 19th century to the present; and the Wyland Galleries – in the Walt Disney World district, specializing in paintings of sea life.

Orlando also offers numerous festivals and outdoor music events, including the Annual Concert Under the Stars at Historic Bok Sanctuary, Date Night at the Garden’s at the Harry P. Leu Gardens, the Florida Music Festival, the Spring Jazz Stroll and more.

In November, the average high temperature is around 80 ° F and the average low temperature is around 60° F.

SRS has started a green initiative, so instead of cutting down trees to make paper program books, we are cutting down on the use of paper and going electronic, which also cuts costs for the society as a whole. A link to the electronic version of the program book will be available on the website one week before the meeting. You will also be given a copy on a flash drive at the meeting.

Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy
Registration refund requests must be submitted in writing to the SRS Executive Office by 10/7/2013. All refund requests will be subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be made after 10/7/2013.
